How to Get Bill Information

Copies/History/Status of Bills

Once a piece of legislation is introduced, it is given a bill number and short title.  The bill number is preceded by either an "H" (if introduced in the House) or "S" (if introduced in the Senate).  If you do not know the bill number or title, you can search the listings of bills introduced by a legislator.  To obtain a copy of a bill, or to check on the status of legislation, please visit the NC General Assembly bill information page and follow the directions.
