  • Nearly 200,000 jobs for North Carolinians
  • More than 40,000 businesses in North Carolina that directly serve travelers
  • $970 million in state taxes to the General Fund
  • $579 million in local taxes for communities across North Carolina
  • Saves each North Carolina household $423 in state and local taxes
  • Visitors spend $53 million per day in North Carolina
  • Visitors contribute $4.2 million per day in state and local tax revenues
  • In terms of direct tourism employment, tourism is the 4th largest private employer in North Carolina
